Peter Giersch

In 2016, Peter founded the Giersch Group to be a full-service bookkeeping and consulting firm specializing in small businesses and nonprofits. Since then it has grown to seven figures in revenue and hundreds of clients. Peter is responsible for all aspects of the firm as well as occasional consulting assignments. He recently served as the Interim-CFO for a $20M construction company that had not had an audit or closed their books in 2 years. In less than a year, he rebuilt the accounting team, got the books cleaned up which allowed the CPA firm to finish both audits, while at the same time managing the bank relationship for several large loans that were out of covenant, seeing those to successful restructuring. Other assignments of interest include Interim Executive Director for Holy Hill, National Shrine of Mary, President of National Bible Association and Interim President of Aquinas Academy.
Prior to the Giersch Group, for nearly 20 years, Peter was a management consultant to small businesses and nonprofits as a co-founder of Cathedral Consulting Group with offices in Milwaukee, New York and New Jersey.
Peter has degrees from UWM and Marquette and has been on the board of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, the University Club of Milwaukee and the Archdiocesan Advisory Council, among others. Peter has earned the Certified Small Enterprise Advisor certification and also the financial advisor 6 & 63 certifications. He was recognized as a 40 Under Forty winner by the Milwaukee Business Journal in 2003. He and his wife, Carole, have five children.
